Pancake griddles in the UK -

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010
I wanted to pass this information along courtesy of Liz Welch.  For many a pancake griddle is hard to come by.  Hopefully those of you living in the UK will have access to this:

From Rarelizzie's blog
Just a quickie today to say that for all you UK folk out there Aldi have a pancake or crepe making machine for less than £15 and it works very well as a griddle. It has a numbered temperature controls rather than actual temperatures, and it is of course round. Other than these two minor considerations, the one I bought works brilliantly. What is more it makes excellent pancakes too! (I thought I ought to check this out before it became dedicated to softening FP).

I used aluminium foil, baking parchment, teflon sheet, or the mini baking trays that Lakeland have on the griddle / pancake maker and they all worked splendidly.

If you want one then get your skates on as these things never hang around, and that is never more true than at Aldi.

Thursday, December 10th, 2009
If you are new to the blog you may be puzzled why pancake griddles being on sale at Walmart is newsworthy....and you may be asking.... What do pancake griddles, walmart and Friendly Plastic have in common????

Well.... as Jana Ewy discovered, pancake griddles are the perfect way to melt your Friendly Plastic pieces together using the Fracture and Fusion technique.

And...if you haven't gotten one yet...head to Walmart because they are on sale for only $17.00. These are full size will hold two small toaster size non-stick pans. (nordicware toaster pans available at Bed Bath and Beyond)
