New Boutique items from BijouxArtCreation – Karine Collignon

Thursday, April 8th, 2010
I wanted to highlight this piece by Karine Collignon, a Friendly Plastic artist in France.  What I think is so unique an interesting about her work is her mix of elements.

This pendant is an excellent combination of stamped plastic to texture and "raw" unheated and untreated plastic.  A unique combination that is refreshingly beautiful!

Fantastic!

Contest Winner – Karine Collignon

Sunday, March 21st, 2010
One of our featured artists Jen Lowe posted a challenge of her own to help cheer her husband up after his recent heart surgery.

The challenge was to create something that would make Kerry smile and laugh.  Kerry was the judge.  After a few setbacks in the hospital, I am happy to report that Kerry is now at home recovering and making good steady progress.

Kerry chose the design of   Karine Collignon as his winning choice and no wonder why!  It made me smile too!!!!

Karine made the fake rock with Kerry's name out of Friendly Plastic.

Visit her blog for more of her designs.  Her blog can be easily translated from French to English using google translate.

Karine's friendly plastic work is very refreshing and unique.  Her mix of wire, Friendly Plastic and beads lends a feel of 'movement' to her designs.

I looked at this piece and just couldn't help but put on some of my favorite music and dance.  It reminds me to dance...enjoy  life and be happy.

(Did you notice the little guitar accent??)  Well...I can only describe Karine's work in a few words - BEAUTIFUL AND BRILLIANT!

Monday, December 21st, 2009
Today is the first day of winter for the northern hemisphere....that means its the shortest day of the year....but it also means that from now till summer the days will get warmer! Makes me want to jump for joy!

That's what I thought of when I looked at this beautiful piece by Karine Collignon of Bijouxartcreation. Karine says Liz Welch was a big inspiration in helping her create this piece.

So jump for joy....winter is here....but that means we're one day closer to warmer weather....

Out of the Sea by Karine Collignon – Friendly Plastic

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Mariah and I have spent the week on the Mexican Riviera...and this piece captures the beautiful jewel like colors of the ocean. The flow makes me think of waves crashing on the beach. A brilliantly designed piece by Karine Collignon, a Friendly Plastic artist in France.

Friendly Plastic Jewelry by Karine Collignon

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Karine is one of our international artists from France. She loves to combine wire and other media to create unique pieces of jewelry.

This piece reminds me of the colors you would see in a tropical rainforest! I love how she's added glass beads as accents. These remind me of morning dewdrops!
