Friendly Plastic TV Video – Dimensional Pendants with decorative foils
Sunday, October 31st, 2010
In the past we've worked alot on 2-dimensional designs which primarily focused on layering or putting a variety of mediums on top of the Friendly Plastic to alter the look of it in some way. In this video, we take that a step further.
I love the look of stretching and crackling the Friendly Plastic, but often this results in the colors of the foil dulling when the black background pulls up through. To solve this and to add a decorative, somewhat watercolor wash effect, I tried nail polishes. The results are beautiful and the polishes fix the foil so that the colors remain bright. Add a touch of decorative foil and you've created one of a kind - gorgeous pendants - in any color...and my I add that you can make these in 30 minutes or less?? Great HUH?
Kits and Friendly Plastic supplies can be purchased at the CrafTECH University Craft-E store.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Friendly Plastic TV. I always welcome your comments and suggestions for show segments.

FRIENDLY PLASTIC TV- New Show – Alcohol Ink and Friendly Plastic Spring Fling Earrings
Friday, April 30th, 2010
I thought this month I would make a video based on my recent demo on Cool2Craft Live last Monday.
Alcohol inks are one of the most versatile mediums I own. The way their colors dance on the Friendly Plastic really gives you lots of opportunities to create customized sticks and sparks the creative juices! That's a good thing huh???
After I uploaded the video, I realized that I didnt give finishing instructions to the earrings. OOPS!
Attach jump rings into each of the holes. Attach an earring wire to one of the jump rings. You can add beads to the earring wire if desired.
I also attached a swarovski crystal danglie to the opposite end. I like movement and the crystal I think adds a nice touch.
If you are new to jewelry making - pick up a copy of my newest book BEADING IN NO TIME (which received 4 1/2 stars from About.com! - read the review here)
178 pages - 50 projects from beginner to intermediate.

NEW VIDEO!! Friendly Plastic TV – Zentangle Beads!
Friday, February 26th, 2010
A couple of days ago I wrote about Zentangle. Have you heard about it? It's the latest and greatest rage sweeping the arts and crafts industry. ANYONE and I mean ANYONE can create amazing art just by drawing a line, circle or any geometric shape and combining them in a repeating manner.
Taking that concept, this video will show you how to create beautiful artbeads. I hope you enjoy getting entangled in ZENTANGLE.
