A few months back I posted an article about Zentangle. It truely is for everyone and anyone can do it and make great art!

It is an artform that is becoming increasingly popular and is spreading into international waters too!

I am always taken back by the beautiful artwork of Karine Colliginon of BijiouxArtCreation! In her latest facebook update she shared photo's of one of her Art Shows. I couldn't resist sharing these with you! I think my favorite is the one on the upper right corner......no wait...the middle one in black and silver...oH Oh....and...well...Actually they are all my favorite! Seriously....do you think I could pick just one???

Karine has been attending Cool2Craft Live craft TV on Mondays and although she speaks little english, she is very much active in the chat room - which I think is WONDERFUL!!!!

A change of Heart by Mylene Hillam of Milllanestudios

They say it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind. It's something I do often when I'm designing a project. I have an idea, I start to put it together and then another idea comes into my head and I change my mind. It's a great way to explore new possibilities.

Take this necklace for instance. When I first had the idea to incorporate the two silver hearts into the design, I was going to hang the small and medium hearts below the Friendly Plastic heart..... and I was quite pleased with the way it looked. But then, just as I began to assemble the pieces, it happened - I changed my mind! A different idea popped into my head: What if I changed the order of the hearts? What if I placed the smallest heart at the top of the design and the largest heart at the bottom? I like how that looks even better! Rearranging the hearts has completely changed the balance of the piece. And it's unexpected - you expect the design to taper at the bottom of the pendant - but reversing the order has made the piece much more interesting.

Isn't it wonderful to be a woman just so you can change your mind?

Karine's friendly plastic work is very refreshing and unique. Her mix of wire, Friendly Plastic and beads lends a feel of 'movement' to her designs.

I looked at this piece and just couldn't help but put on some of my favorite music and dance. It reminds me to dance...enjoy life and be happy.

(Did you notice the little guitar accent??) Well...I can only describe Karine's work in a few words - BEAUTIFUL AND BRILLIANT!

I love checking my email everyday to find viewer email! Really...it makes my day! So today's SHOUT OUT goes to Molly Fischer.

I'd like to share the email that I received yesterday from her- she writes:

Hi Linda:

I am a newbie at friendly plastic and I've been trying to create jewelry.

Attached is an earring and necklace set that I made for a co-worker for Christmas. I check the blog everyday for any and all inspiration and instruction. I am a web learner. Because of my husband's work I've had to leave my create friends in Reno, NV and Fremont, CA (stamping groups) so I am stuck here in Milford MASS. - not much in the way of creative groups near by.

Thank you so much for your web site and the Friendly Plastic Blog - my salvation to creative road blocks and great inspiration and education.
