Featuring a new artist Charlotte White

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Charlotte calls her work "Sisters in Christ".  It's been very exciting to see all the submissions for the contest.
I'll be announcing a winner and a runner up on Friday so stay tuned!

Some upcoming events:

  • Cool2Craft.com - bling bling wire wrapped rings on Monday April 19th.  It's not friendly plastic, but you could create a FP bead and use this technique.  Wire wrapping is always a fun way to add a little sparkle to your FP designs.

  • Im also considering live Friendly Plastic 1 hour classes.  Live classes will be $12 per person and a minimum to hold the class will be 10 participants.  The class will be held similar to the Cool2Craft format allowing a live interchange of questions and thoughts thru video, audio and chat.  Also, the show will be archived for viewing later.  If you are unable to attend the live class, a taped version will also be available for purchase.
I need to know how many would be interested in participating and would you like the option of purchasing a class kit?  Please email me to see if there is enough interest to move forward.  You do not need any special computer techy skills as this format is simply a log on format.  To particpate live via video and audio, you will need a webcam and mic.  These classes are open to anyone in the world.  A time slot that is convenient for the general audience will be arranged.

Email your thoughts!

Patchwork People Pins as seen in People Magazine

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Thanks to google alerts, I've "discovered" yet another Friendly Plastic artist creating some amazing Friendly Plastic artwork.

These are called Patchwork People Pins and as the artist states they can be created to represent your family. Particularly this time of year, brooches are popular items with which to accessorize your wearables.
She travels to art shows in the Cincinatti area...so if you're close, stop by and see them in person!
There's sooooo much more to see in her etsy store...so click here!

Great job!!!
